OSLO
Open Standards for Linking Organizations
is an unambiguous standard for the exchange of information brought to life by the Government of Flanders. The intention is to ensure more cohesion, better comprehensibility and better findability of information and services. In this way, everyone can use the data more easily.

Vocabularies, application profiles and code lists

The vocabularies are the basis for open semantic information standards, they provide a shared conceptual framework for certain concepts with a focus on data exchange and were created in the OSLO² working group of Information Flanders.
An application profile is a data exchange specification for applications that fulfil a particular use case. In addition to shared semantics, it allows additional restrictions to be imposed, such as the definition of cardinalities or the use of certain code lists. An application profile can serve as documentation for analysts and developers.
The information in vocabularies and application profiles is organised according to the Resource Description Framework (RDF), which makes them suitable for use in Linked Data applications.

Persoon Basis This application profile defines a specification for the exchange of personal data in the context of a register of persons or when performing public services. -> vocabulary Persoon

Besluit publicatie This application profile defines a specification for publishing minutes and decisions of governing body. -> vocabulary Besluit
Mandatendatabank This application profile defines a specification for a linked mandate database based on linked decisions. -> vocabulary Mandaat
Leidinggevenden databank The executives database contains the executives of local governments and their corporatised entities. This database follows an extension to the mandates database application profile.
