Glossary

List of basic terms used throughout the editor section. Unless a term is redefined, the meaning is as specified here. Green markings in screenshots are for clarity and not part of the actual editor UI

Heading

Sometimes also known as "title" or "subtitle". Denotes a hierarchical section of a document.

List item

A single "bullet point" in a list:

Knowledge node

A piece of text annotated with RDFA knowledge. Currently visualized with dotted underline, and an annotation on the left of the document when hovering over it:

These can be more clearly seen by toggling the "toon annotaties" toggle:

Position

The space between two characters, or between a character and the end or start of a line.

Paragraph

A section of text separated from others by an empty line:

Text Mode

The default state of the editor, and the state that can be assumed unless otherwise specified.

This is when the "show annotations" toggle is turned off.

Rdfa Mode

When the "show annotations" toggle is turned on, we say the editor is in rdfa mode. This visualizes the knowledge nodes more clearly and can have effects on how the editor behaves.

Caret

The (usually) blinking line that shows "where you are" in the document. Aka "text cursor". Sometimes also simply called "cursor", though that term is not preferred since it might cause confusion with the mouse cursor.
